Vapes are an effective tool to help adult smokers quit tobacco — they are not for children, teenagers, or anyone who has never smoked. Gorilla Vapes is a UK-only retailer and we take our responsibility to keep nicotine products away from under-18s seriously, online and in every one of our four Somerset stores.

Mandatory age verification

Every online order is age-checked by AgeChecked against UK electoral roll, credit-reference and ID-document data before we dispatch. No verification, no order — there is no workaround. Couriers also carry out an over-25 ID check on delivery for nicotine-containing products.

Challenge 25 in every store

Our staff operate Challenge 25: if a customer looks under 25, we ask for photo ID — passport, driving licence, or PASS-accredited proof-of-age card. If a valid ID isn’t produced, we refuse the sale. There is no flexibility on this.

Zero proxy purchases

It is illegal in the UK to buy a vape on behalf of someone under 18. Our staff are trained to spot proxy purchasing and will refuse the transaction. If you suspect an underage purchase has been attempted, please tell us — we investigate every report.

UK-regulated stock only

We only sell e-liquid, kits, and disposables that comply with UK TPD and MHRA rules — bottles ≤10ml, tanks ≤2ml, nicotine ≤20mg/ml, child-resistant caps, tamper-evident packaging. No grey-market imports, no unregulated devices.

No youth-targeted marketing

We do not run paid advertising on Google, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube or any platform with significant under-18 audiences — vape ads are prohibited there for that reason. Our marketing is organic, in-store, and aimed only at existing adult smokers and vapers.
